Hamas did what it did October 7, 2023 out of hatred, and Israel has done what it has done ever since out of hatred, but I say that with a heavy heart, for memories of the Holocaust are kept alive in Israel every day, not like the annual remembrances in the rest of the world. That said, the cycle will not end until one or both of you learn how to love the enemies of your conscience. Notice that I did not just say love your enemies. That is what Jesus said. But he also said that even if we do not believe in him, we should believe in his works, all of which reveal the need to love the enemies of our conscience, the principle of life.
I know that as Jews you do not believe in him at all, as Muslims do not believe in him as the head of their religion. But neither of you have to in order to learn what it means to love each other as enemies of your conscience. For you, this means seeing Palestinians as trying to blind your conscience with hatred, which is foremost what makes them an enemy, for the eyes of hatred cannot see God in the heart. If you love them anyway by seeing that they are blind to God, thereby not blinding yourselves, you will see the best path to take in this world, without seeding the next cycle of hatred.
The Conscience of the United States
In the world conscience, what does the US look like in this vision story? Or for that matter, what do ours as US citizens look like individually? Well, perhaps to your surprise, they are all radiant, a beauty far beyond anything in this universe. And this is true for every vision story since we are all names of light in them. Many of us, however, are partially or fully blind, making every nation-name of light partially blind, divided between those of us who love (agapé) the enemies of our conscience and those who do not. How is this literally seen in our world conscience?
Divided neither by political parties, religion or anything else, we either see as names of light with the principle, do not see at all, or see a little sometimes. For we are agapé light, symbolized in the form of a cubic city made of transparent gold, emanating twelve different iridescent colors from our foundation. It has to be symbolized since there is nothing like us in the universe.
We can form this symbolic vision in our world conscience but then need to allow it to transform into its actual beauty – by loving the enemies of our conscience in it. They are the same agapé light but, seeing them as blind at least in our eyes, see one of the foundational iridescences, jasper, filling their names. We can use this symbolically to avoid trying to envision blindness with darkness. If this sounds strange, think of all the trouble blind hatred has caused due to a disconnect with memory. Forming this with the principle creates a bridge to such memory through a conscience (suneidesis) cleansed with agapé light, able to see through ours and others’ past blindness.
In our national vision story, the unrest in the US during the Gaza War and right at this moment under the new administration is working from layers of jasper iridescence passing through each other peacefully from both sides with no darkness. But the layers of hatred behind them here, in those who are blind in the world conscience, cannot pass through each other without weakening the lives of these names of light on earth.
Jesus came to save people, not nations or countries. He told his disciples to save people in 'all nations'. The USA didn't even exist then, but there were people in North American tribal nations. There is nothing special about the USA, or any other nation, including Israel. God is interested in people, not nations.
hey george, i’m a buddhist in a tibetan lineage and i was struck by similarities in tantric symbolism and view to what you are describing here. very interesting!
its a common practice to visualize our (true) selves as bodies of light and to visualize rainbow lights emanating from our hearts, touching (blessing) all living beings
i (kinda) believe that (at least on one level) that what is true is actually true no matter what faith we practice, and that those truths can be accessed (arrived at) through all ofnthe spiritual traditions (and even idiosyncratically through individual experience outside of faith traditions)
anyway, i really love what you say here 🙏✊
