Jesus came to save people, not nations or countries. He told his disciples to save people in 'all nations'. The USA didn't even exist then, but there were people in North American tribal nations. There is nothing special about the USA, or any other nation, including Israel. God is interested in people, not nations.

Yes I agree. I am simply working from Matthew 25 where the nations are gathered before him and he separates them, but in this passage,it is still about whether we individually love the least among us.

hey george, i’m a buddhist in a tibetan lineage and i was struck by similarities in tantric symbolism and view to what you are describing here. very interesting!

its a common practice to visualize our (true) selves as bodies of light and to visualize rainbow lights emanating from our hearts, touching (blessing) all living beings

i (kinda) believe that (at least on one level) that what is true is actually true no matter what faith we practice, and that those truths can be accessed (arrived at) through all ofnthe spiritual traditions (and even idiosyncratically through individual experience outside of faith traditions)

anyway, i really love what you say here 🙏✊

Hey Seamus, time to all learn the same language of visions. The rocks are crying out for us to all do so.

Love me when I need it least for it is then that I need it most - it’s so simple to help another and see others in the eyes of GOD - I’m praying for each soul to find peace ☮️ and trust HIS WILL but am a weary soul here in earth school - working on uplifting others and focusing on the ALMIGHTY who is with us and will never leave us Ty for your insight and care - the man made matrix is our greatest vulnerability - invoke DIVINE protection and guidance Namaste my fellow light workers namaste

Yes, I agree. Why do you think so many get it wrong?

Well, the Greek word ethnos is translated Gentile, citizen and nation. In those days, Gentile meant a non-Judean citizen. The point is that each of us are inseparable from our nation and thus responsible for its wellbeing, loving all including the least among us.

Yes, that’s true. The more I travel the more certain I am that I am undeniably Australian in my outlook.

Identification with a nation can be both good and bad of course. Australia isn’t perfect.

But I never hear Aussies saying, as Christian Nationalists do, that the church should take control of the state and force the population to comply with the edicts of a few church leaders. That just wouldn’t get support here.

What is your experience?

I think it is important to identify with the natural goodness of our own nation and see those blind to it as simply a blind part of it. That is how I see Christian Nationalists here in the US. When two of Christ's disciples asked if they should bring down fire on those who refused to follow him, he replied, "No." That was a radical change from the law of Moses. It was the birth of the idea of true democracy, and that fits perfectly with God allowing everyone to choose freely, not forced into any form of religion. Those born into Israel then were forced to obey or leave the country. Our Christian Nationalist brothers and sisters have every right to choose also. I simply encourage them to love their enemies and see them with this love.
