The Conclusion on How to love the Enemies of Conscience
Heaven’s Garden
We take plants from nature and build gardens for them, as Name takes stars from the universe and builds galaxies for them. Plants arrive in their garden and, for the first time, those without flowers take notice of those with flowers. They start to adore them, reflecting more of the sun’s rays onto them, making them grow photosynthetically more beautiful. Soon they are addicted to looking at the efflorescence of such beauty in the light, as those with the flowers become addicted to being adored. For some, ephemeral beauty is the god of the ephemeral money-time reality.
At the same time, these same kinds of plants adorn the hillsides in nature and are seen throughout the galaxy, together beautifying everything. From the hilltops of the universe, watch as one of each of them is transplanted into one of these gardens below. Dumbfounded the way their relatives are behaving, they ask them why, but none of them can explain the enchanting phenomena known as self-adoration and other-adoration.
For the earlier ones completely forgot what it was ever like to belong to the collective beauty of nature, and the latter ones had never experienced individuality without simultaneously feeling its position in their collective singularity. In addition, the latter had never experienced self-loathing or other-loathing. To some degree or another, all the earlier ones do when the flowers among them wither as all do, as all stars do.
They quibbled over it for quite a while, not considering it relevant to decisive issues. In one sense, it sounded like Asians trying to fit into Western individualism, and Westerners trying to join Asian group behavior. A lot of words but no synthesis. They only agreed on the fact that in continuity, the earlier ones living in the garden knew of nothing else for countless generations.
As a result, their memory was undergoing its scheduled reverse photosynthesis. However, this time, from unlivable pressure on all sides, a mutant plant rises out of the dirt. It is an unknown species of lotus flower, perhaps from another earth. In time, it grows in the mud and speaks a new language everyone recognizes.
Translated in English, it says, “No need to deny the identities you have formed around your individual and group names. You just need a seeing name able to encompass and permeate all their illusions.”
Your Full Name
Knowledge of Word reveals such a name, one which Name revealed to just one of us in biblical history when they saw Name face to face, as knowledge of Word reveals. So overwhelmed by the encounter, this name used it to name an altar, which can be seen as a sign of what we would all need and be blessed with one day. Our new name is the active structural truth of our house of knowledge, the principle working in all names of Word’s singularity and purity of agapé (unconditional love in spirit). For Name is a living part of our new name, at its very head.
“El-Elohe-Yisrael” (Genesis 33:20) is its Hebrew form for this one person. El is a singular form for Name; Elohe is a plural form for Name, Word and us; and Yisrael is Israel in English. Elohe is a contraction for elohim, which is used for all of us since it exists in singular and plural form at the same time.
“Elohim (Name — God or Life depending on our beliefs) created (singular verb form in Hebrew) the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1
“You (plural form in Hebrew) [are] elohim and sons of the Most High [Elohim], all of you.” Psalm 82:6
There are no capitals in Hebrew, but they are used in these two translations to distinguish Name in the first from us in the second. As discussed in Spirituality and Democracy 4, elohim should never be translated gods in English to refer to us, since that leads to conclusions that we have power of our own. Name has all power but shares it with us as it shares this kind of name with us—when we love the enemies of conscience (suneidesis)1 or are ready to learn how.
In El-Elohe-Yisrael, Elohe is both Name and us—and Word working between us as the diermeneutes2—in the name Yisrael. As discussed in the visual pattern of agapé, this is the singularity of us all in Word, which is also in each of us, and together in Name’s singularity of all. This is what makes el-elohe-names the ultimate permeationally seeing names.
The Four Levels of the El-Elohe-Name Plus a City-Name
The name Israel was this person’s personal name of light and later used as a nation-name of light for many. It points to the four levels of our names—personal, political, national and world-names in our singularity. And as explained, at its heart, it is home to our city-name, also called “the diamond room” of our spiritual story (see The Spiritual Story of Democracy). While all of these are names of light, only our personal one is directly associated with our physical existence and experience through gender, nationality, age and language attributes. When we work consciously from our el-elohe-names, we are no longer blinded by these attributes but permeate them transparently to practice the principle.
All names of light are beyond expression in the world but manifest in our world suneidesis,3 the City of Agapé Light, permeating our el-elohe-names. If you do not know your personal name of light, adopt one to learn how to envision Word in the world suneidesis and practice the principle in your el-elohe-name according to The Practical Guide. While learning, we all struggle with world blindness and wrestle Name and Word, subjecting us to addictive adoration and loathing. But these should be our cues to envision everyone’s el-elohe-names permeating each other from our own.
Attachment within the El-Elohe-Name
With this name, we can visually understand how Name is the only name who can fulfill us through others, individually and in our singularity. For our other names within our el-elohe-name can work from the illusion of detachment from Name and thus make us believe that we can be fulfilled by others, ourselves or even Name alone. David knew this. He knew how hard it is to break emotional attachments in this world, but succeeded in doing just that by envisioning everyone’s names attached within to their el-elohe-names. Translated literally, David said,
“I envisioned You (Name) in the sanctuary [of names] to see Your power and Your glory [in all el-elohe-names].” (Psalm 63:2)
To break free from addictive emotional attachments—see through the illusion that any of your names is detached from Name as El in your el-elohe-name. El at the end of Israel is an example of a personal and nation-name attached to Name, but its full attachment manifests only in El-Elohe-Israel.
Only in our el-elohe-names can we experience each other being fulfilled by Name on all levels of our singularity, as agapé names of light in our world suneidesis. It frees us from all addictive attachments to our physical attributes when we are conscious of our personal name’s attachment to Name. For seeing our personal name attached to Name in our el-elohe-name—we permeate our physical attributes transparently. This frees us because we can envision them in the Now of Word in our el-elohe-name, juxtaposed permeationally in our house of knowledge to Name suspended at the pan-nucleus of the City of Agapé Light.
Consistent Efforts to Envision
Be consistent in your efforts to envision correctly, for the illusion behind appearances works between us in world blindness. When under it, we make each other think that we will find a way to be fulfilled “again” by anyone or anything other than Name through them—if we just keep trying different things. For false memory as living souls tells us we were once fulfilled this way.
Utterly convinced that our true love alone fulfills or fulfilled us, we cannot see through the illusory boundaries of limited agapé. Even if a nameless voice would tell us exactly how to transcend it, our illusion would blame no-name for creating fear or anger in us. Translate and interpret4 the voice of your own el-elohe-name speaking to you in the new but original language, telling you the same way to transcend.
Using our el-elohe-names transforms us, our mind and spiritual senses, so that our physical existence does not have to die for us to enter the City of Agapé Light (see the should/shall distinction). While being transformed, we can find support on the bridge over our national suneidesis, support from those of us who bear our burdens crossing over.
They teach us how to use our el-elohe-names to envision Word so that we can be just like Word. We are just like Word by participating with Word being eternally fulfilled by Name in their exquisite light-fold in our double light-folds.
In bodily el-elohe-names, the piety and agapé lights of Word are the source of the blind and seeing lights of democracy in Name’s agapé light. Working from this resolves the conflict of visions in us through the Spiritual Story of Democracy.
El-elohe-names are the houses of knowledge. With them, we can see the fullness of Name’s depths in each of us and between us through Word. Therefore, el-elohe-names show us that nothing in all of Name is absolutely from us, but that which is from us, how we receive and use all that Name has blessed us with, determines whether we can possess what is ours to love Name through the seeing and spiritually blind with the principle or must continue wrestling Name without the principle. Suneidesis, pronounced soon-eye-day-sis, is a Greek word that joins our natural awareness with our sense of conscience. Click on the link for a detailed explanation. It is central to this teaching. Using this foreign word regularly in discussions helps us get accustomed to experiencing something new and positive working in our awareness itself. When the word conscience is used, it will refer to the aspect of suneidesis that involves right and wrong, but this aspect cannot be separated from our co-conscientious awareness of all things.
If I understand that my awareness of something as simple as a cup includes co-conscientiousness, I do not allow myself to get blinded by the cup alone but know it as part of all creation at the hands of the Creator or the universe, depending on one’s beliefs. Spiritual maturity does this naturally.
Diermeneutes (dee-air-main-yoo-tace) is a Greek noun that comes from a verb that requires two English words to translate, ‘to translate’ and ‘to interpret’. As a noun, it is both translator and interpreter. This action of translating works from one’s original language, which, ultimately, is everyone’s spiritual language, used by Name to speak to us in vision. Name’s visions though need to translated for us, even though we both use the same language, and they are simultaneously interpreted for us in the Now of Word. Simply put, Name speaks to us in visions we can understand through Word. Word is our diermeneutes, essential for us to understand The Spiritual Story of Democracy.
Knowledge of Word states: “And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he (Word) was translating/interpreting (diermeneuo, verb form) for them the [things] concerning himself in the Scriptures.” Luke 24:27
The repetition of suneidesis is meant to challenge you to consider this dimension in your awareness. Apologies, but it will only be a necessary annoyance until it becomes natural.
Diermeneuo is a Greek verb translated with two English verbs, working simultaneously in the mind of Word. The first is “to translate from one’s original language”, which is our spiritual tongue in Word, and the second is “to interpret”, not as meant by giving one’s opinion since diermeneuo is used for Word interpreting the Scriptures in the Luke 24:27. Word is truth, not an opinion about the truth.
