With no disrespect to roger, this essay is NOT "spiritual mumbo jumbo" IM(not so)HO, unless you haven't had time to read and contemplate it slowly numerous times. WAY more important and novel concepts than first meets the eye here. I was not familiar with "suneidesis" but one of its definitions is, 1-"the consciousness of anything", which reflects not only a legitimate quantuum connectivity but admits "any-thing" likely even includes non-animate stuff like rocks, earth, sky, etc.. This roughly describes the cosmology/"religion"/visions of Native People as well. "Sun" as a root of the longer Greek word you extol also hints at the centrality of the Sun (e.g.-Sundance ceremonies) where its energy is honored (not worshipped) as a powerful multi- dimensional portal. I want to read more of your posts and sit with them awhile before expressing other ideas I've been meditating on that parallel yours. Your Name, Word, Light taxonomy is brilliantly described though. Thank you for sharing it.
Absolutely Eddie! That is why I said in endnote 1 that if we aware of something as simple as a cup, due to suneidesis being co-conscientious awareness, we can be aware of the cup in relation to the Creator, likewise with rocks, earth and the sky as are commonly honored among Native People. And yes, the spelling of Sun- in suneidesis and the Sun in the sky are the same, allowing for a figurative extension of meaning to include Sundance ceremonies.
The usage of Name and Word are to bring religious and nonreligious people together so everyone feels welcome to meditate on the knowledge that reveals our actual state of being to be names of light in a singularity. This article explains a lot of it: https://georgeallenbooks.substack.com/p/what-is-your-full-name?r=4pmgma
Hmmm? I like it, George. I like anything that recognizes the illusion of the life experience and the potential that lies in releasing from the idea that you are separate from others. Agape is a great word. This was a creative piece that came from an innovative perspective. Keep it up. Dragon
The rest is all accident, coincidence, context, conditioning, experience or whatever.
The only common element is that we are all composed of precisely the same constituents and when dead will return to those constituents which, in turn, will each end up wherever they do.
In that sense, we are all eternal. However, it has no more meaning than that. All of our smallest constituents is eternal so we can consider that we are, though not at all in the 'spiritual' way in which human beings mostly consider eternal existence.
The human construct of gods and heavens and hells and good and evil and right and wrong and blame and forgiveness and love and hate and so on are all just that, human constructs which are neither real nor worthwhile.
Only when humanity uses both its individual and collective intellect to put aside this puerile nonsense will it have any chance of life in a peaceful world as opposed to living in a dysfunctional idiocy.
Your argument makes perfect sense from the critical thinking of science. But you’re talking about something out of reach for science and its proof by observation.
The first living proof is that we have conscientious awareness that we have conscientious awareness. Check that for yourself. Don’t define it away by attributing it to past experiences creating it or constructs whose only solution is for all of us to simply put aside our puerile nonsense and get along. We cannot expect that to ever happen on its own. There will always be those who choose themselves over the rest of us. If we can agree on that, we can leave all science eloquence for the things it is good at.
But if you choose to stay on that path, then maybe in another lifetime our eternal constituents will meet up and we can continue this conversation. Otherwise, bear with me and consider the boundaries of conscientious awareness acting with a measure of free will to bless or curse others.
There are obvious points, due to our individual and collective choices, where the mechanism of conscience causes us to turn on ourselves in self-destruction and social destruction. And there are also points where sometimes it allows us to turn on our desire for destruction, which is to return to conscientiousness and sometimes be in a position to provide the opportunity for others to return. The Greek word for conscience means "co-conscientiousness" or "co-moral consciousness", which we experience everyday when our actions impact each other's conscience.
We can use this to our benefit by impacting others with the highest state of conscience triggered by loving the enemies of conscience. It is not easy to learn because it first impacts us with the fear of making ourselves vulnerable to those who would harm us. But quite the contrary, it soon sobers us up to the powers of a conscience in the highest state, making us far less vulnerable than before.

No-one needs this 'spiritual' mumbo jumbo.
Life just is.
People just are.

The key is to make all others more important than ourselves without being against ourselves, the principle of conscience - Well said - thanks!
