Review
Spirituality and Democracy 3 covered applying the agapé (unconditional love) that we experience inwardly to everyday events in the Now of Word, the now of our world conscience (suneidesis).1 As life-giving spirit and not living souls, we are bodily names in the agapé light of Name. Our bodily names of light exist in double light-folds, coalescing in symbolic cubic glass formations in the City of Agapé Light. And yet, we blindly wrestle with Name and Word here in the illusion that we are physical beings, due to the belief that we are living souls in our suneidesis.2
Wrestling Name and Word on Level One
In knowledge of Word, life-giving spirit is a title for elohim, which is a noun in Hebrew that is both singular and plural depending on how it is used. Applied to Name, it is translated God for those who believe, Life for those who do not. Applied to us in the plural, there is no safe translation since gods leads some to believe that we have our own power, self-sustaining. We are elohim in the image of Elohim—but like a mirror image, without any existence of our own without Elohim Name in front of the mirror and Word translating us into existence.
“You [are] elohim and sons of the Most High [Name], all of you. Nevertheless, like Adam [the first living soul, symbolic or not], you will die [as all physical forms die, but with us in them under the curse of being made to believe that we are these forms], and like one of the princes [of the heavenly city, the City of Agapé Light], you will fall.” Psalm 82:6-7
Exactly how we wrestled Name and Word on the first level is not known, but the results are reported here. We have not left the City of Agapé Light. Together, we have been playing out a partially self-imposed punishment (see necessary blindness) of being made to believe we are living souls. Confounding us in full are these physical bodies embodying our suneidesis.
Wrestling Name and Word on Level Two
Believing we are living souls, we wrestle Name and Word again but in greater blindness, exactly how explained in The Practical Guide. Sometimes, we are not wrestling to prove that we have something of our own but to prove that being made to believe that we are living souls is punishment and that Name wants us to humble ourselves to restore our suneidesis. In knowledge of Word, Jacob wrestled Name symbolically through a man and angel to prove the latter and “prevailed” to receive the new name Israel. It enlightened him to realize where he was and that, visible for all to see, he was a bodily name in the agapé light of Name.
Wrestling Name and Word on Level Three
Obviously, if we continue to wrestle them to prove we have something of our own, we will never prevail and must enter the third level. Like all levels, to wrestle we must misuse aspects of Name’s agapé light and oppose our superseded selves in Word’s piety light. We do this blindly in their exquisite light-fold, even as it perpetually permeates all three of our basic double light-folds in the cubic glass formations of the City of Agapé Light. In the midst of this, what does wrestling on the third level look like?
Key to Word’s teaching is the principle, the structural truth of our house of knowledge. It is how agapé works in and as our suneidesis, unconditional love a part of all of our awareness whether we recognize it or not. It is unlimited agapé working throughout our singularity in Word’s world suneidesis. But limited agapé exists in the blindness of believing we are these gender bodies. This is not the complete absence of unconditional love, only its presence working within illusory boundaries. Formed from appearances centered around gender bodies, these boundaries are used to wrestle Name and Word as they appear through them.
More men than women go through life without ever having unconditional love, in part witnessed by the fact that far more crime is committed by them. It is not necessarily because they choose not to have it, but rather because it is harder to recognize through generational blindness without giving birth. Thus, women, in general, experience agapé once they have given birth, even though it is somewhat forced upon them through the birthing experience. It is less often the case for men being the father since the additional sense of touch through the womb strengthens the mother’s attachment to the illusory boundaries. And this increases the likelihood that unconditional love will take hold in women within the boundaries.
Clearly, women and men rarely choose to give up the joy experienced in having agapé for their babies. But since neither normally have the knowledge needed to understand agapé spiritually, they strengthen the illusory boundaries to safeguard their agapé along with their children.
The problem is, agapé has no boundaries in the City of Agapé Light, whereas its presence in the symbolic City of Babylon does, in fact, this is where all illusory boundaries work and create their chaos.3 It is not just about boundaries and their blind darkness, but pitting darkness and light against each other chaotically in our suneidesis.
In the detailed example in Spirituality and Democracy 3, we used four female names. If we use four male names in another group of double light-folds, we could discuss the blind interaction between those of us who use gender reality instead of conscientious reality to govern their suneidesis. It biases our view of the different gender roles in our political, national and world-names. Yet none of this would address the underlying issues of agapé boundaries shared and in opposition between men and women—who again, in reality, are bodily names in the agapé light of Name, partaking of the exquisite light-fold in the City of Agapé Light.
Four Living Souls and Twenty-Four Elders
Human gender is part of the animal gender of all of earth’s transient life. It is not part of the endless reality of bodily names permeating each other in double light-folds in and of Name’s agapé light of pearl. Knowledge of Word symbolically describes four living souls with gender faces and twenty-four elders without them, both bowing to Name this way. Each of the living souls bows with its four gender faces, those of a lion, calf, man and eagle, all expressing reverent words to Name.
The faces of the elders are not mentioned, implying that they bow to Name while expressing reverent words with genderless faces. The elders are described as having robes, crowns, thrones and harps, symbolizing their status as life-giving spirit in the world suneidesis of Word. Simply put, they are not blind. The double light-folds of the four living souls are bound to the gender of the animal kingdom in their suneidesis, while the double light-folds of the twenty-four elders are bound to the heavenly city in the symbolic form of cubic glass. The latter are symbolized as twelve pearl gates of agapé light around the cubic city and twelve foundational gem stones upholding its radiance—as it suspends Name at its pan-nucleus.
On the third level, even while bowing to Name, living souls wrestle Name and Word through each other’s gender faces. All the while, the elders, understanding how they use the illusion of their appearances to wrestle them, see and bless who they truly are, genderless life-giving spirit like themselves. Therefore, gender is not the enemy. Blindness is. The effects of this kind of blindness have us wrestling Name and Word with the suneidesis of an animal, individually and through each other collectively on the third level.
Have we ever seen any species/creature other than humans loving the enemies of their conscience? We do not have animal bodies, but seeing ourselves as living souls in our suneidesis, our human nature is bound to their types of nature in our double light-folds. The good news is, when reduced to these lower natures, we still have a chance of reconnecting to our human level. At least here we can comprehend that every attempt at wrestling Name is an act of pure vanity—trying to kill out of envy the very agapé light of pearl that sustains us.
So smell that rose, enjoy that food, suffer that loss, rejoice over that win, whatever you experience in everyday life. But all the while know the permeational depths that we reach as bodily names in the agapé light of Name—who do not need to wrestle Name anymore. And in respect to the fulfillment of times, also know that according to the Now of Word, the journey now begins. And this is the journey: to learn how to use the principle to build our own houses of knowledge, in order to save the spiritual story of our democracy. We cannot do it though without the spiritual example of Word in David.
David was after the Heart of Name
Partaking of Name and Word’s exquisite light through each other not only includes doing so through Word’s piety light wherever blindness exists, it is centered on it—for that is how we show Name how much we love its presence suspended in our city. No other name completely fulfills us, and yet we cannot be conscious of that fullness without giving Name all our agapé through those suffering in the piety light of Word in our city. Here, they wrestle Name and Word endlessly.
Making the agapé dimensions of our city work this way shows us how much Name loves all of us, focused more during the fulfillment on bodily names of light with the most corrupted suneidesis. So loving Name through them in Word’s piety light shows Name just what it means to us to have its pandirectional presence suspended within us in the City of Agapé Light. Word in David?
As Name put it concerning David—who understood how to envision Name and was the only Israeli king who loved his enemies—I have found someone after My own heart. We too must be after Name’s heart and will be the moment we get our first glimpse at its eternal beauty.
City-Names of Light
The heart of the ancient city Jerusalem was referred to as the City of David, revealing that heavenly Jerusalem, the City of Agapé Light, can be fully envisioned and possessed in our spiritual senses if we too are city-names in the agapé light of Name. Starting with the City of David, every city-name of light makes all other city-names permeating it more important—so as to give Name all its agapé light through them in Word’s piety light.
Envision Word manifesting the hyper-brilliant forms of all nation-names within itself to reveal Name’s presence suspended within their singularity. Each nation-name gives Name all its agapé light through the others—while together suspending Name through Word’s piety light in their singularity. City-names envision this and see Word’s agapé light pearl permeationally orbiting through its piety light around all nation-names in each of their cities, all permeating each other at the pan-nucleus of the City of Agapé Light.
Thus, city-names never stop looking at Name through these crystalline light-folded eyes of Word in each other, each after Name’s heart by following the principle as laid out in The Practical Guide.
The Spiritual Battle Before Us
The problem before us—in the climax of a world political crisis that has been evolving over thousands of years—is getting those of us who choose light over blindness to learn how to envision it and see with it. Wrestling Name and Word leaves us entangled in thoughts and feelings, the only solution being to stop resisting blindness in ourselves and others and stop resisting actions formed out of it blindly. Arguing over words and moral standards is replaced with guided wisdom when we see the light of Word in the principle.
Apply what you have been experiencing through your understanding of the word suneidesis. Co-conscientious awareness extends to anything from a cup to entire nations of people. Suneidesis allows us to be aware objectively to a much higher degree—while simultaneously experiencing the conscientiousness of the principle in others and the degree of blindness among them. Use this rule to discern the degree: the voices of hatred are silenced to the degree the voices of unconditional love are respected.
The key to enduring the crisis is to see everyday events and the past—as part of Name and its memory. For one, that means stop seeing the past through the false eyes of living souls and see it through Name’s memory of us as life-giving spirit temporary blinded. See memories as they are linked to ships from the past, arriving now at the fulfillment of the times of nation-names. Their ancient hulls are right now being instantly filled with the Now of Word, no longer able to stop and start time in our suneidesis. It allows everyday events to disembark from these bygone ships and humbly step into this world as it exists in but not of the Now of Word.
Look around with your agapé light of pearl, the world is full of blind names in Word’s piety light and seeing names who are after the heart of Name through them.
The Eyes of Democracy (Introduction and Index of Articles)
Suneidesis is pronounced soon-eye-day-sis. After reading the link explaining it, you will see how central it is to this teaching. Using this foreign word regularly in discussions helps us get accustomed to experiencing something new and positive in our awareness. When the word conscience is used, it will refer to the aspect of suneidesis that involves right and wrong, but this aspect cannot be separated from our co-conscientious awareness of all things.
If I understand that my awareness of something as simple as a cup includes co-conscientiousness, I do not allow myself to get blinded by the cup alone but know it as part of all creation at the hands of the Creator or the universe, depending on one’s beliefs. Spiritual maturity does this naturally.
The repetition of suneidesis is meant to challenge you to consider this dimension in your awareness. Apologies, but it will only be a necessary annoyance until it becomes natural.
Misusing Name’s aspects inverts our perception of each other in Name and Word’s interaction. Such inversion is symbolized by the full Hebrew word for heart spelled backwards, translated Babel or Babylon, which means “chaos”. Blessing others according to how we see them with the truth we presently have removes more of the remaining chaos in the eyes of our heart. This gradually clears up our view of Name’s agapé light of pearl in each other.
